📖 Romans 3:23 (NKJV)

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

🔍 Exegetical Insight: "Fall short" (hysterountai) is present tense - we are continuously falling short, not just once fell short. But the word also means "to lack" or "to be in need." Paul isn't just describing failure, but dependency. The glory of God isn't just a standard we missed - it's a supply we need. This sets up the remedy that follows in verses 24-25.
