For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

🔍 Exegetical Insight: "Were bought" (ēgorasthēte) is aorist passive—a completed transaction where you were the object, not the agent. The "price" (timēs) refers to the blood of Christ—the ultimate value exchange. "Glorify" (doxasate) is aorist imperative active—a command to bring glory based on the completed purchase. "Which are God's" (hatina theou eisin) uses the strongest possessive construction. Immanuel didn't just visit—He purchased permanent residence rights in you.
