📖 Isaiah 28:16 (NKJV)

Therefore thus says the Lord God: "Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; He who believes will not act hastily."

🔍 Exegetical Insight: "Tried stone" (eben bochan) means tested stone—proven under pressure. "Will not act hastily" (lo yachish) literally means "will not be in anxious haste." The one who believes rests on the tested foundation rather than scrambling in panic. Persistent prayer flows from foundation confidence, not foundational anxiety. Belief produces patience, not urgency born of fear.
